Ability to add multiple rows in a Matrix

I need the ability to have multiple rows in a Matrix without those additional rows becoming drilldowns. Due to this limitation I've had to pivot tables. This then becomes a manual process where I would need to open the Power BI report every month in order to add the latest month (which are my columns) to a table. It's hard to convince a company trying to go enterprise with Power BI that SSRS is not a better option (which is where this report currently lives and is in the format requested).
