In visuals, we can use Display Units to format number or currency for example Thousands ("K"), Millions ("M"), Billions ("B").
In some language or culture these abbreviations are not suitable.
Instead of (K, M, B) we can change configuration to (M, MM, MMM) or (M, Mn, Md) (K, M, G).
It will be great to have customization of visual display Units.

RE: Customize the "Display Units property in a visual.

I have a similiar issue which could be tackled when touching the display unit properties:I would like to use the same line chart for company wide figures as well as local figures. The figures may range from lower billions to thousands. Additionaly, one value will always be way lower(10 to 100 times) than the maximum values. Therefore, I would like to display M instead of bn, but cannot set it to millions, since the thousand values will also be displayed as millions then and might even show as 0.00M.It would be helpful to have settings for a maximum displayed unit, for all as well as for individual data labels.

Indeed, a lot of my internal customers ask to get rid of the K or M as this creates more noise, and is seen as a waste of space. Also, on Power BI service the M sometimes turns out to be displayed as "million" and this make the charts/tables cluttered.

All of our other Board reporting displays "millions" as "MM". Disappointing that there is no option to change within the tool.

We need custom settings in the Field Formatting section like we have in Excel. I want to summarise my numbers to Thousands but i do not always want to see the "k" after the number. It creates a lot of unnecessary clutter on the visualisation.
Please make this happen.

Agreed, when reporting data sizes, would like to change to KB, MB, GB, TB. Even the ability to hide would work.

I have a display unit called "Tusinde" in Danish... whats the point of having a display unit, with so many characters??

I totally agree.
When creating reports for accountants they want M, MM, MMM instead of K, M, B.
So the ability to change these abbreviations should be possible to define at the report level, and should overide language settings.

Creating custom measures doesn't cover all needs, ie. values on Y-axis of charts need to be numbers, not a texts.
