I know this used to be available within the color options of the visualizations formatting pane, but it seems to be gone from newer versions of Power BI?

I'd like a 'No Fill' option re-added within the color palette as there are many instances where a basic white or gray does not work with page backgrounds and overall looks much worse than making it transparent. Specifically on visuals like the table or matrix background color and alternate background color sections.

I don't think it's gone, it's inconsistent. Most items: Colour only. A few options (e.g. shape fill): Colour and transparency.Rare item (e.g. Title background colour): Colour with "no fill" as an option.I can see why this may not generally be appropriate for text colour options, but any background colour option should have "no fill" offered if transparency isn't.

One of the many sorely missing features in Power BI :)

This is so necessary! Restoring to default only clears the "background color", but not the "Alternating background color of the even rows". When placing a small table over an image background, you end up having a block of rows' backgrounds standing out like a sore thumb. Please fix this and give us the option to select "No color".

I need this too - recently formatted a column in colour to indicate that it still needed checking before deploy - now I cannot change it back to the NO-Fill. How annoying.

What I can't understand is that this was a feature that got removed. Why would you force customers to delete and recreate columns in order to have the default no color option applied?

RE: Add a 'No Fill' Color Option

Guys seriously, how can it be that hard to add it as a color option? Really a necessity... Waiting for this.

RE: Add a 'No Fill' Color Option

Absolutely necessary. If I change, for example, the backgound color of matrix columns from the default "No color" to something else, the only ways to get back to "No color" are Restore defaults, which removes all other formatting, or restoring the old version of the pbix file. The back button also does not restore "No color".

RE: Add a 'No Fill' Color Option

It's ridiculous this option doesn't exist. I have several columns that are colored and I need to set one back to 'No Fill', but my ONLY option is to 'Reset to Default' and blow all my column colors away and re-do them all. Soooo Stupid!!!!
