It is not intuitive how to turn off the Grand Total row in a matrix. If you go to Format\Grand Total, there is no option to turn it off. Instead you have to go to Subtotal\Per Row Level and then turn Header off. This is not intuitive and not discover able unless someone else shows you how to do it.

I have a demo of how it works now here https://twitter.com/ExceleratorBI/status/1256308974313332737

Please simply put a slider under Grand Total to show/hide the grand total in a matrix (and table visual)

RE: Turn off Matrix Total

You can easily customize your totals and subtotals in Power BI reports using Inforiver. There is a user-friendly menu where you can change the positions of totals and subtotals for both rows and columns or turn them off. You also have an option for split sub totals. Check out this video for more details.

Thanks Matt for highlighting this in your P&L blog. The YouTube tutorial was excellent, but I was stumped how you turned off the Grand Total.

This would be a welcome feature.

RE: Turn off Matrix Total

Hi Matt,
thx for your reply to get rid of the grand total. I agree with you to have a slider for to show/hide the grand total in the grand total bucket.
