Power BI
Needs VotesI would like to be able to lock filters on reports that are shared via the dashboard OR via a content pack

I have a report and dashboard with a LOCATION filter applied to the entire report. It is important that the location whom is shared the report CANNOT remove the location filter. Our mill in Kenya SHOULD NOT see the performance of our mill in Brazil. Our CFO is not pleased that PowerBI cannot do this. It is a major requirement for our organization.

It will be really helpful for me to manipulate the data and present the critical insight. Need it badly.

Wow, I just discovered this issue when trying to share a customer dashboard. Glad to have been the one to find it. I can't imagine the fallout if a customer said they could see the purchases made by a competitor down the street. For now I will filter details in query first.

Completely agree. This appears to be an oversight on Microsoft's part. If we're using publishing Content Packs and say the members of the published-to group cannot edit the report, then it should be assumed we don't want to them to change the filters either.
