This is a major deal. I cannot believe I haven't seen anything about this. But if you drill down into a visual, the cross filter capability is not working properly. It appears to be filtering on the level above it. This is an error not only with my own dashboards but also the sample dashboards from Microsoft.

Example: Download the Procurement Analysis Sample Dashboard. Click through to the report. On the Discount Analysis, drill into Tier 1 in the upper right hand corner. Now you see vertical bars for payment term days from 10 to 75. Regardless of which bar you select, the filtered data in all the other visuals is the exact same. THIS IS NOT CORRECT. This is a HUGE problem as it is giving inaccurate information. Attached to this post are photos of the above mentioned report filtered on 10 days and 15 days. As you can see, it's the exact same data.

Microsoft, this needs to be fixed immediately. This is obviously a systemic issue with drill down cross filtering.

The drill behavior has been fixed. Please see the blog post outlining the update: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/august-power-bi-desktop-update-updated-drill-experience/

RE: Drill Down Cross Filtering Broken

I'm still seeing this issue. If I drill down to the lowest level in the hierarchy and click a chart column, nothing happens. If I click the drill-down arrow in the top-right corner of the chart to turn off drill-downs and click a chart column again, it filters my table as expected. Please fix this.

I believe this was resolved with an update that went in today or yesterday in the Power BI Service along with the update to break out the drill down and hierarchy drill down into two different buttons. Desktop version probably hasn't been updated though.

This is cross posted from the Service Forum (http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/ERROR-Drill-Down-Cross-Filtering-is-not-working/m-p/66840). But this needs to be at the top of the pile. The data being displayed is incorrect. I am using a dashboard with cross filter capabilities to train the entire sales org of my company. This needs to be corrected ASAP.

It's from the Inline Hierarchy update. It's causing many problems including invalid reports. It's on their radar but no eta on a fix yet. I gave detail screenshots

RE: Drill Down Cross Filtering Broken

This is an issue we are experiencing and we would also like consistency in the behavior of our drill-down/filter functionality.

RE: Drill Down Cross Filtering Broken

I have tiles for counts and a chart at level 1. Filter works fine at level 1, but when I turn on drill down and go to level 2 and filter, it does not change the counts in tiles.
works fine in Power BI desktop
