It would be nice if we have options to choose different background colors for horizontal slicer items.

RE: multicolor horizontal slicer

A workaround : a treemap with my object I want to use for slicer (for example : Business Units) and a value of distinct number of BU in order to have the value "1" and then the same size. But it's not a slicer object the slicer functionnalities across pages for example.

The ability to change the colour of the slicer button based upon an expression would be great too.

RE: multicolor horizontal slicer

Just sharing a use case here. I am reporting on cohorts of people completing a programme; their demographics, grades, and engagement in various activities across our organisation. We have a horizontal slicer at the top with values for each cohort (cohort 1, cohort 2, etc). Each of the graphs beneath it has a cohort legend, with colours that represent each cohort. It would add significant value if the slicer could match the colours.Alternatively, if we could add transparency to the background colour options and add the same options for the hover over colours, we could underlay an image to display the colours (bit kludgy, but it might be an easier solution to develop).

RE: multicolor horizontal slicer

Currently when a clicks on a value from a horizontal slicer the color doesn't change. So the user is not aware if he clicked or selected well on that value. Only when hovering away with the mouse from the selected value, the black color is default showing up. We would like to be able to change the default black color of selected items. Also we would like to have the possibility to change the color when the user clicks on an item from the slicer. So he knows he selected that value. No he doesn't have a clue, 'till he hovers away with the mouse. You can of course teach the user hovering away, but it's cumbersome.
