Easier refreshing capabilities for Dynamic Data Sources (i.e.: without the need to use the "Relative Path" / "Query" workaround)

RE: Refreshes for Dynamic Data Sources

Really confused by the lack of support for this. This should have 100x the number of votes it currently has. Any good data analytics team will use config files to help manage data. My client wants to migrate from Qlik Sense to Power BI but this is a showstopper for us right now.

RE: Refreshes for Dynamic Data Sources

Absolutely - it's too difficult to write resilient code with environmental configuration (you can use parameters, but this becomes risky when you have any more than one). It's really annoying because you can create a config table to lookup those parameters and have it work fine, then it doesn't work in the service for no good reason. Power BI can't really be considered a professional development product unless it can support standard route to live principles. It's not like connection parameters are a new concept either, SSIS has been around for nearly two decades!
