It will be very interenting that this option was implemented. When the users analyze data in matrix they want to have the option to applied the conditional formatting in the grand total level.

It works now for some types of conditional formatting, but for some reason it still isn't an option for data bars.

conditional formatting should be possible to be applied for totals and subtotals as well. But have in mind that size or boldness of text should be formatable separatedly from the matrix value.
I need this feature to color negative values as red and positive ones as black - not only for the cell values, but also for totals and subtotals. But still, totals and subtotals should be displayed in bold digits.

Please we need this you just added the icons for the conditional formatting in matrix but is not in total rows!! Totally Need this!

Did we get any update on this idea? Waiting for this to get as an Feature and publish critical report.

we need contidional formatting in all visuals TOTALS for the negative values.
