When entering the "See Records" view, it allows you to decide which columns you view while you are in the "See Records", but after exiting "See Records" it reverts to the original view and removes the edits.

There should be an option to save the edits made within the "See Records" view so the unnecessary columns can be removed and the important information can be viewed more easily, and can be saved so the report keeps the edits made when saved.

RE: See Records Column Setup

Pleeeeeeeeeease!
That would be very helpful.
It really needs to be fixed, able to customize and default the information
details / show data for each graph.

RE: See Records Column Setup

Agree with all comments below. Think from business users perspective, after seeing the visual, which is great, the next intuitive thing that follows is to drill down into the records to see exactly what is the cause of the number showing up.

Without the ability to customize the fields of users' needs, this function is basically useless. This should be one of the basic fundamentals of PowerBI. I'm surprised it is still not available since the idea is raised 3 years ago!

This is one reason PowerBI is still not one of the leading BI tools out there. Compeititors are moving much faster! Mircrosoft, you definitely have the capacity and we expect more from you!

RE: See Records Column Setup

This really, really needs to be fixed. Also, it de-selects any fields that are of type, whole number.

What everyone else has said! Please, please, please fix this!!! I've only been using Power BI for 2 days and already this seems such an obvious feature to have that's desperately needed by many

RE: See Records Column Setup

Desperately needed, this is a huge problem!! PLEASE FIX!
The ability to "See Records" that are behind the visuals is one of the powerful aspects and important selling features of Power BI. If we can't configure what fields are seen and what order they are in, this information renders itself useless!
To make matters worse, even removing the unwanted fields in Power Query Editor does not remove the field from the See Records Visualization list, even though it is not available from the fields to select from!!! I even tried to manually remove a field that was no longer available and when I went Back and then chose See Records again...the unwanted field was still there. Scary stuff...think PRIVACY and SENSITIVE information.
How can Microsoft dismiss a problem where a huge selling feature of a product can expose sensitive information to unauthorized users!!
Definitely need to pay attention here and FIX THIS ISSUE!!!
