We use the model of separate ingestion / compute dataflows and linked entities / computed entities; however, we face a problem for our dataflow consumers. When they look at the entities they cannot figure out which entity is a computed entity and which is not a computed entity so they're confused. We've tried to add a naming convention to computed entities and add them to a group within the dataflow interface, but that doesn't work for many users since they still pull the wrong entities because the grouping doesn't appear in Power BI Desktop or PowerApps.

It would be very beneficial to either have folder groupings for dataflows be visible or the ability to hide without disable load for entities in a dataflow.

RE: Hide Linked Entities / Show Dataflow Entity Groups

I think you can rename the linked entities in the transformation dataflow. So you could prefix them with "linked_" or something. Also, I think users will be able to see and connect to the linked entities only if they have access to both the staging workspace and the transformation workspace. Which is quite nice. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/dataflows/linked-tables#permissions-when-viewing-reports-from-dataflows. "When creating a Power BI report that includes data based on a dataflow, you can see any linked tables only when you have access to the source dataflow."
