Hi
When adding markers in a line chart. The top and bottom marker are not fully shown which makes it not very attractive to use.
However, not using them is not always an option as we want to make datapoint visable for better visual analysis and showing periodicity. Is this something the team can look into?

RE: Markes in line chart not fully shown
This small extra space/padding is indeed a basic visual element that should be available by default.
For example, we have data that is not continuous, so at times in line charts the data can be just a dot (or when using dotted visual). When this dot is the minimum or the maximum of the value range, it's only half visible.
Not elegant at all.
(Values can change dynamically depending on the measurement selection so setting a fixed min or max for the Y-axis is not possible.)
RE: Markes in line chart not fully shown
I am having the same issue. Because my max data points vary so greatly depending on my selection, there is no way for me to format the axes. Auto SHOULD make sure that all of the data points are included fully in the visual.
RE: Markes in line chart not fully shown
Please fix this, it makes my content look unprofessional and incomplete. Like another user mentioned, some type of adjustable padding around all types of visuals would remedy this situation.
RE: Markes in line chart not fully shown
I agree that this should be fixed. I like to use markers for slope charts and often have a slicer that changes the size of the chart dynamically so I cannot used a fixes Y axis. Please add a bigger buffer or make it adjustable.
RE: Markes in line chart not fully shown
Yes please. Manually updated every graphic is possible for my current requirements, but it's very easy to see scenario when only dynamically adjusted axis ranges are viable.
Off the top of my head, options could be:
(1) Adding a dynamic value for the XY axis (based on calculated column / measure).
(2) Adding calculated value in the start & end options (eg. start: min([field1]) - 5, End: max([field1]) + 5).
(3) Adding padding so that markers do not get cut in half when they are at the highest or lowest value on an axis.

I have the same issue on many line graphs to the point that the client is rejecting them. I have given them alternates done in ColdFusion.
