When adding images, we only have support for bitmap / raster image formats such as png, jpg, etc.
These often tend to look distorted particularly when we shrink or expand the report beyond the resolution it has been designed in.
Please allow support for vector images such as svg, emf, wmf and eps files, which scale better.

RE: add support for vector images (svg, emf, wmf, eps)
There's already support for SVG as a page background and a table cell. Adding support for standalone images would be a logical next step. Having used a SVG template as a background, I was surprised to find I couldn't do the same for foreground images.

Any update on this? Kind of a basic feature

This should have been a 1.0 release feature

I agree; the ability to insert vector formatted picture elements could mitigate a lot of the visual shortcomings in PowerBI; especially since we must assume that vector formats scale better and more correctly on disparate devices.
