The Matrix visual currently allows only TWO types of fields:
* SUMMARY fields are those that get aggregated (SUM, MIN, MAX, etc.) and are added to the VALUES area.
* DIMENSION fields are those by which the summary will be broken down. These go in the Rows and Columns area(s).

There is a THIRD type needed: NON-AGGREGATING DIMENSION fields.
If you have dimension fields of, say Name, Address, City, State, ZIP and PHONE, and you want to build a MATRIX that drills down by NAME, but includes all the other pieces, currently the ONLY way to do that is to create one big long concatenated field of all those elements.
That's UGLY.
I want to design my matrix so that NAME is a level of aggregation, and the rest of the fields are informational only, appear on the same line, and are not sub-totalled

RE: Add 'non-aggregating' option for matrix fields

'@Scott Powell: Yes, that helps, a little. But it's UGLY. It puts the word "Total" directly UNDERNEATH the second attribute.

I'm only trying this with TWO fields. What if I have THREE or FOUR and want the first TWO to be roll-up/aggregate, but the last two to be informational only?
Consider my example above: Name, Address, City, State, Zip. How would that look?
