My client intends to use AtScale as an OLAP semantic layer for a data lake. The ideal use-case would be to have Direct Connect capability to the AtScale cubes. Would be great to see a connector for this platform.

An AtScale connector exists today.

RE: AtScale connector
The data type issue need to be fixed...
RE: AtScale connector
Yes. We need this capability for our project. We are using Power BI with AT-scale as semantic layer. Without this feature, we are seeing lot of limitations in connecting to At-scale from Power BI
RE: AtScale connector
We're exploring if Power BI should become our enterprise reporting solution from our Data Lake. If it is going to make it, it will need to connect to AtScale's Universal Semantic Layer with something better than a 'flat' representation of the data.
RE: AtScale connector
It's possible to connect with Impala, yes. Or indeed it WAS possible until AtScale introduced a bug in June. That said, you get a flat listing of the underlying tables. It kinda defeats the purpose of using AtScale -- I could just connect directly to Hive.
RE: AtScale connector
This is possible out of the box using the AtScale platform. We are doing this today with our Hadoop cluster and it's super valuable to get direct access to our Big Data!
RE: AtScale connector
This is a very important feature in order to compete with the other BI products. There should at least be a direct query connection to Hadoop through either Hive or Impala.
RE: AtScale connector
Absolutely necessary for our project
RE: AtScale connector
This is a must have feature for us
RE: AtScale connector
It is an essential feature for us to have.
