Date x-axis End Today

When a report uses a date on the x-axis, the x-axis end could be set to today's date.

With end set to Auto, the x-axis stops with the last date with data. It does not show dates beyond this for which there is no data.

I should like the report to clearly indicate that there is no data for today.

Adding onto this idea, the ability to choose a list of options from a dropdown. Today, Last Day of Week, Month, Quarter, Year.

I have a chart that needs to show progress for the current month. When there's only 2 days of data, Power BI splits the axis into partial day chunks. It would be great if it showed the entire month on the axis, and only a sliver of a line worth of data (a line segment connecting the 2 data points in this instance). This line would then grow over time to eventually be the length of the axis.
