RE: R Script on PowerBI (Online)
Is there an update to this? The Power BI documentation on R [1] claims that "R visuals are created in Power BI Desktop, and then published to the Power BI service".
Taking into account that this thread is about _enabling_ this feature, why do they already claim that one can publish to the online version?
Later in the article they say as one of the limitations that: "R Visuals do not display when using Publish to web."
Either there is another way to display and share R visuals online, or the article is not accurate and indeed one cannot share R visualisations through Power BI Online.

RE: R Script on PowerBI (Online)
EDIT:
A few corrections on my assumptions:
"Publish to web" is a public publishing that is done from within Power BI Service. So this is something different.
RE: R Script on PowerBI (Online)
Can anyone update on where this feature is sitting right now? Would be great to be able to publish R visuals to Power BI service.
RE: R Script on PowerBI (Online)
How can I use a R file instead of copying and pasting the R code into the R script window? How does the refresh work on the script? (power Bi service can refresh the output file of the script).

RE: R Script on PowerBI (Online)
This is a really great idea that will make the online version even more powerful.
RE: R Script on PowerBI (Online)
I really hope this feature gets enough attention. It would be really great if we could:
1. publish our pbix file which has R visuals with filters and all that.
2. have the R custom visual in the PowerBI online to create new reports from tables created via the REST API, just to mention one example.

Thanks Moshe! It was a great idea to implement it in the first place!!
RE: R Script on PowerBI (Online)
The R Visuals capability is a preview feature. Online (Power BI Service) experience is in the works. Stay tuned.
