Group level filters similar to Visual or Page level filters.
It would complete the functionality of groups and also would make bookmarking easier.

RE: Group level filter

I design "visuals" using multiple visuals at once. Example: A KPI card is good, until the numbers you work with get to large. Furthermore, with targets, you lack options to be able to set the targets on their own line (Target, Var, % Var). What I do is set target text to be the same color as the background, then insert on top of the KPI card, a MultiRow card to get the "targets" in their desired position. I then group the visuals together. But, if I decide to set up area's that are prefiltered and display these area's side by side in their own card, I now have to click through both visuals to get them synced filter wise. Being able to set a "group level" filter would make things faster, reduce mistakes, & just better for my own sanity. When implemented, it should truly be group level. This particular project uses groups within groups, and I should in theory be able to assign filters at each group level, where the top most group filters all subchildren, but then the sub group level filter doesn't affect other groups within the same parent group.Another quick example: I re-designed the speed gauge custom visual be combining several cards on top of it, again due to lack of proper formatting rules. In total, my "single" visual uses 7 pbi visuals. So anytime I want to display different sections side by side, I have to adjust all 7 visuals. This should not only apply to the filter pane, but also the slicers. I should be able to turn on or off slicer interaction at the group level. If it is off at the group level, it is off. But if it is on at the group level, I should be able to control the visual level. Perhaps we need a window pane view for interactions to make the selection of these easier. This might be a different request, but honestly should be part of it.Final Note: this has to apply to Power BI Report Server too!!!

RE: Group level filter

Organizing and filtering report layouts would be so much easier if this was an option. Sometimes I want a page to show the same information for different categories and setting up each visual to the right category ends up being extremely tedious. Please make this happen, the more granular my data becomes, the more this feature is needed so my regular users can build their own reports faster.

RE: Group level filter

Being able to filter a whole group of visuals on a page would save a lot of time in my reports.

RE: Group level filter

It would be great to get the ability to group several visuals to set only one visual filter for all visuals you want.

When you have e.g. 10 visuals and you would like to filter the first 5 visuals and the second 5 visuals for different periods currently the only option is to filter each single visual with an own visual filter (e.g. 10 times the same filter) because the site filter and the report filter would filter all visuals by the same settings.

RE: Group level filter

It would be very useful to be able to filter a whole group of visuals.

RE: Group level filter

I'd love to be able to assign a group to the Filters pane, as per this tweet: https://twitter.com/InsightsMachine/status/1218272628424577025

Basically, you could have a whole bunch of visuals in a group, and then have a "Filters on a group" option so you could assign one filter on say "Region" to all visuals in the group, rather than individually.

RE: Group level filter

Being able to create a group of filters, like slicer's groups, so you don't need to insert for each visual all the filters you want. Interesting when we are talking 4+ filters.

Being able to, when multiple visuals are selected, insert the visual level filters, affecting all the selected visuals.

RE: Group level filter

Same; I have a report with 7 visuals on it, and 5 of them need to always have the same filters (and the other two are different). I have to set multiple filters 5 times whenever I need to update this report. Very time consuming.

RE: Group level filter

this would be an absolute time saver.  And it would help with managing the filters. Say if there is a need to extend the filter for 'Regions'
