    Please! Yes we require Power BI to bin/group and create calculated columns on live query SSAS datasets! Liberate the data, avoid developers having to bloat models with often single use customised grouping, let the users do this in the context of their report.

    If you look closely you can actually pinpoint the exact moment his heart breaks in two. It's right now! When I realize that I will have to micro-manage grouping, dimensions and other functions for my users when they should be able to do it themselves.

    Hi it would be great to have this functionality when connected to a Tabular model. We've got quite a few financial reports that require custom groupings due to different focus areas for different business units. Pushing all of this report specific logic into the model just makes us less agile. We've been relying on uncertified Power BI grid (financial matrix) controls from Market place to get around this.
