I plot anomaly trend data over time. I would like the ability to include dynamic vertical reference lines on the date (x axis) for all applicable chart types (line, bar, stacked bar, combination, etc). The reference lines represent milestones and help to explain and understand changes in trend data.

RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
I would like to use this function to mark special days like Christmas, Easter or Mother's day.
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
Maybe it would help to make the implementation easier if in the "Analytics" section of the visual you could change the "Constant" line type based on the axis since we can already do that with the Y-axis but not the X-axis!
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
Seems a useful as well as an easy add - this would have an awful lot of use in date-based analysis, to highlight today's date for the basis of backlogs, some relative date in the past for serious backlogs etc
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
Such a low hanging fruit. Definitely a common use case when plotting forecasts or to highlight checkpoints on a trend line.
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
I second everyone here...this is much needed for time analysis.
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
This is critical and a basic functionality of all timelines. Please develop this.
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
I can't agree more xD
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
Incredible this isn't supported, especially as any chart with a DateTime x axis fails to show any vertical gridlines indicating where each 24 hour period starts/stops.
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
is really usefull for events, please :)
RE: Vertical reference lines on the x axis
On a date based horizontal axis I would like to add a vertical line that is 'today's date'
