    Ability to import data from an Excel table with a column with in cell pictures

    I working with clients who need to maintain searchable logs / catalogs/ activity tables in Excel. The table they store their data in sometimes have a column for an in-cell picture where they can show the issue they noticed or display an item in their inventory catalogue etc.

    Power BI does not appear to have a native ability to connect to the data table in Excel and load the in-cell picture column pictures for creating reports.

    Can this feature to connect to Excel data tables and import in cell pictures rather than just hyperlinked pictures be added to Power BI?

    I tested this out. Not only would the image not load, but I couldn't make a connection to the sheet/table at all. I had to make a dummy sheet/table, connect to that, then manually edit it to the original table. This then loaded, but with a #VALUE error for the image cell.Seems it should load as a data URL.
