Row level security allows limiting number of rows returned in a visual but sometimes you have a need to display / hide certain columns. Allow dynamic data masking within power bi so that using username () function of DAX certain columns can be masked for the logged in user.

RE: dynamic data masking
RLS - Row level security - has been implemented badly: It doesn't work for calculated columns at all. Then reading the RSL rule for measure and implementing it onto a calculated column is very hard (I haven't succeeded so far). So masking a column with "***" for users who don't have RLS access to the data is currently much too hard.So we need dynamic masking feature from the Power BI production team.
RE: dynamic data masking
DDM, Dynamic Data Masking within Power BI the DAX function "username () " to masked for the logged user.
RE: dynamic data masking
The ability to pass thru DDM to data sources published via on-prem data gateway (SQL 2016) using direct query would save folks a lot of time. Having to set up the query params is a lot of hoops to jump through.. PLEASE!!
