Please add MS Project MPP files as a data source.
Wonderful things can be done with Project Online and Power BI.
I would love to do the same with the MS Project MPP files on my laptop

It is very useful if we could have the connector in Power BI desktop to directly fetch data from MS Project. (not Project online)

Hello, does anyone knows what is the status of that request ? I'm in need of the exact same thing and I'm so sad that Desktop version of MS Project seems to be the poor child of the Office family : no BI connector to mpp fileno integration of scripting editor available in Excelno dedicated JavaScript API for office add-in developmentMS Project plan costs as much monthly as all other Office suit products combined but it seems all evolutions are lagging behind :/
