I am connected to a SharePoint List from PowerBI. I then updated the list to rename a column from "Title" to " Project" and also added two new columns.
I then removed the existing SP List connection and reconnected to recognize the new changes. Once completed, I am not seeing the changes that I made to the SP list.
Just to see if PowerBi was caching anything on my machine, I installed PowerBI on another machine and perform the connection process again to the same SP list and I got the same results.
It seems that the problem may lean towards Sharepoint, but I welcome all feedback to help me get past this most frustrating issue.
Thanks,
Ron

As you point out, the issue seem to be on the SharePoint side, especially because it repros in two different machines, including one that had not connected to the list previously. I wonder if there might just be a delay in how SharePoint propagates changes to the List schema into the OData feed that exposes the List data and that you're using in Power BI Desktop. Hope this helps.

RE: PowerBI connecting to SharePoint lists issue
I am experiencing the same behavior. The SharePoint online feed is not updating after a SharePoint list field is renamed. Yes, this would not seem to be a PowerBI bug, but that being said what is the process for getting this bug fixed?
