Make the labels shown on waterfall chart configurable. There can be other things people want to enter other than "Total" as the final column, and the 'Sentiment' labels could be renamed "Better/Worse" or "Increasing/Decreasing".

RE: Improving Waterfall chart
10y later, no improvement 😅😅
RE: Improving Waterfall chart
Supported - I needed to be able to rename it various times already.
RE: Improving Waterfall chart
I support this. I need to call it Surplus (Deficit), and can't. Grrr.
RE: Improving Waterfall chart
Agreed. For example, it would be nice to call Budget to Actual variance on a financial report Favorable vs Unfavorable because increase/decrease in budget variance does not signifies whether its increase/decrease in favorable or unfavorable variance.
RE: Improving Waterfall chart
Think this would be a very welcome option, its possible in SAP Webi to do this and would make the Power BI charts more readable.
RE: Improving Waterfall chart
Make possible rename the total label waterfall chart.
RE: Improving Waterfall chart
Was this ever improved? Are we able to rename the final column as something other than "Total"?
RE: Improving Waterfall chart
FYI.... This chart can also be called a "Walk Chart" to walk from one "status" to another. I echo the request for ability to edit ALL the labels (including axes, legend, data points & title) and sorting of the data on the x - axis
RE: Improving Waterfall chart
Hello, this would be very useful. As we try to get teammates and executives to transition from viewing data tables in PowerPoint to consuming information through Power BI we want all of our labels to be consistent and familiar for them. We want our audience to focus on the value of the visualization, however, right now they may be distracted by inconsistencies in labeling (e.g. they see favorable/unfavorable in all existing review decks then increasing/decreasing in Power BI). Having more flexibility with labels would help us speed up adoption.
