Here are a few things that really, REALLY need to be implemented on these sites:

Forums

  • Desperately needs a way to sort a thread by posting date. I had a thread that was over 30 posts long and to find a particular part of it, I had to scroll up and down and up and down to look over the posts in message order. Annoying, awkward and time consuming.
  • Better searching options.
  • Stop the "Helpful Resources" ad at the top from constantly cycling through the links. Cycle through once and then stop.

Issues

  • If you are going to use the same visual structure in the Issues section as you do in the Community section, then add a link to the Issues to the main page of the Community, since that is where someone might instinctively look for it.
  • The section is called Issues but the word "Ideas" is used all over it and thus implies that it is actually the Ideas section. Therefore, remove all references to "ideas", and keep it focused on user problems and issues (which means the posts should not require voting up to get resolved.
  • The way it is designed now, there are TWO places where "ideas" can be posted. This is confusing to users and likely confusing to your support team.
  • If Issues and Ideas are related, then change the section to Issues and Ideas, make each one their own list and add the ability to move the post from one list to the other (so if an issue is actually an idea, it can be quickly and easily re-categorized, for example).
