Yes, of course we can change the number of columns in small multiples. But it has to be hard coded. It would be very beneficial to set the number of columns dynamically, using a measure.
This would enable the end user to pick the items they wanted to compare, side by side, dynamically. For example, if a user wanted to compare sales for years 2019 and 2020, and they pick those years in a slicer, Small Multiples would show 2 columns, 2019 and 2020 side by side, for easy comparison and analysis. If the user picked 3 years, they would see 3 columns side by side.

For shure this would be very useful
