If you're using a cross filter on a table it's hugely irritating when for example you know there should be 2 rows in the filtered table but you only see one.

The default behaviour of not showing items with no data and summarising is plain wrong. It just means that over and over again when cross filtering tables you have to fault find why its not showing the correct entries from the source table.

Make it opt in and not the default please!

I absolutely agree. I just got bit by this issue. I do not understand why you choose to eliminate the data as a default. Present the data as a default and have eliminate as an option is the best design and presents the least risk of presenting incorrect data in the report. I do not understand this existing design as it can create scenarios of not displaying valued information in the report. Data fields that present with null fields in the line are of interest but if the developer chooses that they should not be displayed, its good to have the option to eliminate it. Please switch this around to what makes more sense and presents as a default a more complete report.
