Redshift Connector in Power BI Service and Data Gateway really needs to be available soon. Although the release in July enabled Redshift as a Data Source in Power BI Desktop, there is still no update on when this will work in Power BI Service. We now have a strong need to allow for this connection to work in Power BI Service. This must work in Direct Query mode. In addition we should be able to Import Data into the Model and use Data Gateway to Refresh in Power BI Service. That way we can take advantage of the DAX functionality.
This will be a blocker for us using Power BI as our go to BI tool.

Amazon Redshift connector is supported end-to-end in Power BI Desktop & Service for Refresh & DirectQuery.

RE: Redshift Connector in Power BI Service and Data Gateway
This is not completed, we also need it on the gateway as we are connecting via a private subnet
RE: Redshift Connector in Power BI Service and Data Gateway
'@miguel, I really do not think that this is completed. REDSHIFT connection still is not supported for setups that use the GATEWAY. And I do not think the statement made about redshift being a cloud service hence it does not need a gateway !!! What happened to security & private networks ? why are you ignoring this important topic. This is a big disappointment !
RE: Redshift Connector in Power BI Service and Data Gateway
This isn't completed. Redshift is only available over the internet. What company in the world would expose their data warehouse to inbound queries over the public internet?
Why isn't this in the gateway after two years?
RE: Redshift Connector in Power BI Service and Data Gateway
I am not seeing Redshift in gateway data sources, am I missing anything here?
RE: Redshift Connector in Power BI Service and Data Gateway
I second Mike Lombardi as well

I second Mike Lombardi' request (+ 3 votes).
In the release post, it mentioned that it will be available in a few months;

Michael S, you can add the specifying port number by adding it after the url; "url:port"
RE: Redshift Connector in Power BI Service and Data Gateway
I agree. Also need to add support for specifying a port number.
