Bookmarks are a critical part of report navigation, specially in-context navigation. It would be a game changer if there was transparency in bookmarks and they could be created/viewed/edited in detail. For example, when selecting a bookmark's properties:
- Be able to see all the bookmark's settings exactly: what filters it sets, keeps and clears, what visuals it affects, what page it goes to, etc.
- Be able to change and add to the bookmark's settings selectively one at a time rather than having to update the entire bookmark.
- Be able to define the settings dynamically through DAX expressions, such as setting a filter based on the current context (keep a filter) rather than filters be hard-coded only.
- Be able to create bookmarks that go into other reports in the same Workspace or App.
- Be able to disable visibility of bookmarks when publishing.
We have multiple use cases where that level of control would be necessary to implement proper in-context navigation. Happy to discuss.

RE: Enable full customization of bookmarks
Know it's a bit of an old suggestion, but it's a good one - I came here to suggest the same thing. This is a great summary of the improvements to bookmarks suggested elsewhere. I might do a bit of canvassing to garner support :)
