My suggestion is to retain all the imported custom visuals permanently in Power BI desktop, unless until we remove it manually.

RE: Retaining Imported Custom Visuals
I believe this may have been enabled already in June 2019 update (https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/15638169-custom-visuals-enabled-every-time-power-bi-desktop)
RE: Retaining Imported Custom Visuals
You need something like a Personal pbix, just like in Excel, so you can save them and have them available whichever pbix you open.

Agree.
RE: Retaining Imported Custom Visuals
I definitely agree with this. Or at least be able to mark it as a favorite and it stays persistent. Took me a minute to realize why my custom visuals weren't available in new reports, I assumed it would work that way.
I wouldn't agree with the person saying your products ARE NOT user friendly though. I think you have done a fantastic job with the Power BI tool overall, even if there are a few small adjustments that would be nice.
RE: Retaining Imported Custom Visuals
Totally agree!
RE: Retaining Imported Custom Visuals
Please add this as a feature
RE: Retaining Imported Custom Visuals
Hi can we get this going was training a class and a student raise for the umpteenth time.
RE: Retaining Imported Custom Visuals
Why has this not been implemented yet? If I use the same visual repeatedly, why do I have to keep adding over and over? Get it together Microsoft, your products ARE NOT user friendly. Simple architecture of the software like this should be an obvious default.
