if we can lock a desktop made dashboard it will be great to share it in an enterprise.
also this will prevent the dashboard to be changed by mistake. when I click on an item this action drag the content, so I have to move it back to the initial position.

RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
As a global organisation we love PowerBi but can’t trust the security until a password wrapper is in place enabling us to publish on the web for intended clients only
RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
I develop and sell Power BI dashboard reports and I need a way to prevent a customer from sending the product to other non customers. Since the .pbix files cannot be password protected, anyone who buys my power bi solution/product, can give it to anyone they desire. What's up with that? RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
If Power BI can't add this most basic security feature, how can we ever trust the security of this infrastructure with sensitive data needed to build dashboards??? This has been being requested since 2015! Step up to the plate Microsoft.
RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
Need this, important!
RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option

RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
I am surprized if an excel or word doc can be password protected then it should have that as well.
RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
Word, Excel, PowerPoint all offer this option. Please add this as an option.
RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
This functionality is really essential.
RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
Please add this option. It's no longer sustainable offering 'single source of truth' reports, when actually we cannot even guarantee there are no adjustments made to the reporting setup.
RE: Add a password protected Power BI Desktop option
Long Pending Request as the PBIX and internal data sources become very less secure with open edit query option. For security as well the data protection & mishandling this is required.
There is no way we will come to know if someone does any unauthorised change in the data model in edit query and publish to service.
