Most modelling and visualization tools that I have ever worked with have the ability to allow you to specify a business label in the semantic model, and to then show this in all visualizations as an alternative to the physical name

I agree. this feature is required when business names are needed instead of physical structure.
This is also needed for languages other than English when we want to keep English structure but exhibit the front end in the natura or business language.
