we have big data in our database. We cannot add all the data in dataset so we are thinking of using DB2 direct query. But DB2 driver does not support direct query. This idea has been pending and long overdue. Can you please work on adding the support? ThanksYogesh Ajmire US Bank

We need DB2 direct query support for PBI service, Enterprise Gateway, and paginated reports.

When I am trying to connect to IBM DB2, I am getting the error that No such host is known. Microsoft DB2 Client: No such host is known. SQLSTATE = 08S01 SQL CODE = -1336

It's 2019, and this idea is still not done 3 years later. What are the odds?

I'm able to use the "import" option for a Db2 database, but I'm getting an unexpected error "Couldn't load the model schema" in the "directquery" mode. In the directquery mode, I'm able to see data in the query editor, but when I "close and apply" from the query editor, I get the error message and the dataset does not appear in the "fields" menu at the right-hand side of the page. Is anyone else having issues with directquery but are able to use import?

In the Power BI desktop July release this is a Preview feature, but I cant find any information about it.

what kind of product is it in terms of lincencing, security.... Does it require storing data on the cloud ? thanks

If anyone is interested in trying out Conduit - https://bpcs.com/conduit , which enables direct query for DB2 (until PowerBI adds support natively), I'd be happy to get you set up. Let me know.
