It would be very helpful to allow custom slicer ordering, from the slicer itself. Rather than creating a new sort-by column in the dataset, users should be able to specify (perhaps within the slicer's own menu) the order in which to display its items.

RE: Customer slicer ordering

I completely agree. Right now I am trying to sort by the following: "< = 5%", "5% - 10%", "10% - 15%", and "15% - 20%". Sorting this ascending or descending throws this out of intended order... because "5" is greater than "1" and appears first, et cetera. This is annoying and I believe it would take some trickery to get a simple task like this to work as intended.

This!
Why this isn't getting more votes i do not know.

Most of my slicers all have a number prefix because I have to create a sort column for each one. We need either the option to sort manually within the slicers format options, or if that's not possible then at least sort using another column, which would at least get rid of the number prefix

Sorting by another field would allow this too by creating an 'ordering' field. So, that would kill two birds with one stone.

RE: Customer slicer ordering

Also desperately needed - the ability to order slicer fields by a different item in the dataset. E.g. - month name is what's displayed / month number is how it's sliced.
