It would be of great help if you can give users an option to sort the order of the Legend manually.
Thanks!

RE: LEGEND Manual Sorting

I see people making work arounds for this, annoying to have to create helper data just to get a legend that doesn't put Disagree between Agree and Strongly Agree on survey responses. Manual sort please!!!

RE: LEGEND Manual Sorting

WHY DOESN'T MICROSOFT LISTEN??? Users have been complaining about MS using us as Beta testers since the '80s. They put this stuff out before it's ready. A SMART marketing team would have looked at the competition and made sure that PBI could at least do what other BI tools can do. Stuff like this - being able to sort legends - and other simple no-brainer customer-expected features such as being able to filter using cards, having more control over graphics, should NOT still be "ideas" from customers. The original development team should have known that these were useful functions, and built them in from the start. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LISTEN, MICROSOFT???

I am in agreement with others. For a stacked bar chart, you'd want to associate the data range that appears on top with the first legend entry so that your eye can scan top to bottom, left to right. It looks awkward otherwise.

RE: LEGEND Manual Sorting

Critical functionality where legend consists of categories, and some are deemed more important that others (or occur earlier as part of a workflow) - adding number prefixes to categories (e.g. 1_xxx, 2_xxx), as a work-around, is very ugly.

Again, another basic feature is missing. For many representations on stack chart, it makes sense to have the largest bar at the end and then go from largest to smallest. Kindly, get this feature added.

I can't believe there have been threads about this for years and this incredibly basic functionality doesn't exist without having to create a bunch of measures or columns or new tables and relationships. This is one of the biggest limitations I encounter, and it significantly impacts my work.
