Currently the EXASOL analytic database can be connected only via ODBC. It would be great to have a dedicated DirectQuery connector to fully exploit the power of an EXASOL cluster

RE: EXASOL DirectQuery Connector

From October 2018 there is a certified Connector between Exasol and Power BI.

A connector for Exasol is now available, see https://github.com/EXASOL/powerbi-exasol

RE: EXASOL DirectQuery Connector

A direct integration of Exasol into Power BI would be very helpful!

RE: EXASOL DirectQuery Connector

As an alternative, use SSAS (analytic services) and setup a real-time ROLAP against EXASOL. Then connect Power BI to EXASOL via the SSAS ROLAP. Long term, a native connector would be ideal.

RE: EXASOL DirectQuery Connector

ODBC works terribly slow with Exasol. Need to have a proper connector.
