Fix Fabric Git Integration not showing PBI Project items in Subfolders

I have a Fabric workspace integrated with DevOps and noticed that the Service doesn't show project artifacts if they are contained in subfolders. In the example image found here, there should be 2 reports and 2 datasets (Report A and Report B).

This is a real pain as it's ideal to be able to keep all of the PBI Project artifacts together in a subfolder within a repo for a given project. Currently, they all have to be interspersed at the top level in order for the PBI Workspace to show them.

Our team is actively working on supporting items in subfolders in Git. We will provide precise timelines and details as soon as they are ready for sharing.

RE: Fix Fabric Git Integration not showing PBI Project items in Subfolders

I am implementing the Git Integration with the new Project format (.pbip). When I push my repo to DevOps and I have my Project files organized (because this workspace has multiple models) by folder, The Service doesn't recognize any of the files because they are not in the root of the designated Git folder. The Service should look at the files in this Git folder recursively (drill all the way down to the lowest level) and place all of the file in the workspace. This is, unless, you guys are going to (finally) implement a folder structure in The Service, as I believe has been hotly requested for at least (5) years now: https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com/ideas/merged-idea/?ideaid=be572456-42e5-467f-9f93-38be4a64cb80.This functionality (both my idea and the older one) are going to be SUPER important now that Fabric is leveraging Workspaces and all of these new Fabric artifacts are going to be living in there along with the PBI artifacts. Workspaces are going to be a disaster with this many different types of artifacts without some way to organize them!!!

This is also very important for allowing git submodules to be used.

RE: Fix Fabric Git Integration not showing PBI Project items in Subfolders

Couldn't include the image link, but the structure that I'd like to use but Fabric Integration won't support is as follows:Report A (folder)Report A.pbipReport A project artifactsReport B (folder)Report B.pbipReport B project artifactsWhat the Fabric Git integration requires is the following, which is messy for both development and clean up when deleting a project:Report A.pbipReport A project artifactsReport B.pbipReport B project artifacts
