I want to have the total value displayed in the middle of the Donut chart, so that the reader can grab the whole picture more quickly.

RE: Adding total value in Donut chart

I'd love to see some more votes on this one as there are many tutorials out there for how to put a card over the middle of the chart, but as mentioned previously, this becomes a problem when using Focus mode or pinning to a dashboard.. Similarly I've found that, depending on the length of the Legend at the right or left side of the chart, it can also shift the doughnut and reveal the edges of the card in the centre.

Having an option to have a pre-formatted 'Count', which should interact with filters, would be great.

Without Total in the middle no use of donut chart

I use the card workaround too but the card cannot be seen when on donut chart focus mode...

I use the card workaround but this would be great to have on a dashboard. It is a much more efficient use of space and it is great to have the value updated based on other visual interactions

RE: Adding total value in Donut chart

Work around: I added a Card (that displayed the total) and placed it in the center of the Donut chart and it displayed as I wanted.
