The improved date slicer is great. However, when using it in Between/Before/After mode, I want the dates to be displayed in the same way as in List/Dropdown mode. (That is, the way I've formatted them in my Power BI data model.)
For example, we format all of our dates like '2017-03-31'. But in Between/Before/After mode, the date slicer always displays dates like '3/31/2017'.

RE: Date formatting in date slicer
And 6 years later still no solution. Stop answering how to change format in desktop or browser. The issue is withing the app in teams. The slicer won't allow a date format change. That would be the easiest solution. The other one will be to implement the slicer to recognise the date correctly.
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
We need the choice of date to be open, such that you choose the date according to what you need from one period to another
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
Can't believe this isn't standard
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
Slicer in the new update is not as friendly as it was. The slicer can't give " from "to dates. The conditional formatting is missing in the field Even the count and auto establish of column and parameters is missing.
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
This is still a sorely needed feature! Can't believe it's been on here since 2017!Please get this sorted Microsoft
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
One more vote for this very usefull and necessary feature!!!
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
It would be great if an option to select "ISO Week" is also available for the "Relative date"
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
This is ridiculous that between slicer ignores ALL REGIONAL SETINGS!
Ignores browser model setting, ignores browser settings, ignores system regional settings and uses literally the WORSE possible format mm/dd/yyyy
Microsoft this is not an idea. This is clearly a bug.
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
Can't believe this doesn't have more votes. I work in an international company and long ago we standardized across the business on ISO date format (YYYY-MM-DD) to resolve misinterpretations. My users are bugging me all the bloody time about this silliness. The appearance of dates in this slicer must match the format of the source data. End of story.
Note that solution suggested in the community forums for users to change the regional setting of their operating system does NOT work, as that is not respected by Chrome or Edge.
RE: Date formatting in date slicer
ISO yyyy-mm-dd date format is a hard requirement in my international organization.
Don't understand why the slicer doesn't just pass through the format of the underlying date field ...
