I'd like the option to temporarily disable all visual refreshing when I'm designing a report.
The issue is that every change made to a report causes all visuals on the page to refresh, and it causes the action to wait for the visuals. So If I add a measure/column/relationship, it can take 5-20 seconds for no reason.
I just want to develop my reports lag free, which is caused by this annoying configuration.

RE: Disable Refresh on Visuals Option when in Desktop
I don't need to refresh every visual in the pbix, I just want to see what this one bar chart looks like with a different color. The data hasn't changed since it last refreshed 30 seconds ago.

100% Agree with this post!!! We need this!

This would be really great feature. Most of the time you're NOT interested in the data. Even if it would show "dummy" figures would be good enough to create your dashboard/report. This woould make a huge impact on delivering a report very fast!
RE: Disable Refresh on Visuals Option when in Desktop
This feature would save me a lot of time and frustration. As my dashboard gets bigger, making the smallest change gets harder and harder as I need to wait for recalculations of unrelated visuals each time. It's seriously increasing the time it takes for me to create a dashboard.

I'm surprised to see how unpopular this idea is! For me it's a real headache to work on a report with multiple elements.
There really should be a Designer Mode where calculations don't occur upon adding or modifying measures/elements. As simple as turning the Calculation in Excel to Manual.
