    Option to default Max date in a date slicer

    Need an option to set default date on a date slicer. For example, in a date slicer, it needs to take default current/previous day and we still need to be able to select other dates from drop down. Currently when slicer is defaulted to max date, it does not give the option to choose other dates.

    Tried several DAX and selection options on slicer.

    I have a slicer for month from my calendar table. I want the report to open and select the current month, EVERY time I open it. This can't be that difficult to implement in Desktop!
