Parameters are great, but some improvements are needed such as:
- Make them easier to find in the menu by giving them their own button
- Implement smarter updating of the values, such as when the parameters are only referenced in measures and not queries, don't refresh all the queries when a parameter value is changed. This can greatly slow down the user experience.
- Expose the parameters in a visual so that they can be changed and viewed on the report

RE: Parameter improvements
If users are not able to select parameters when a Power BI report is deployed to the web, we just can't use this. It is currently only available in the desktop which is completely impractical.
RE: Parameter improvements
I also agree with this, it does seem mad that SSRS has user chooseable parameters, so you can choose dates, places, people even servers, yet PBI does not have this, unless you are letting users have access to the raw report in desktop., not ideal
RE: Parameter improvements
I strongly agree with you,I am facing a similar problem of not having the parameter values shown as a list or dropdown in the report interface. As a result of which the end user doesn't have access of selection of parameter values from a list on the report interface.Selection of the values anytime while someone is going through the report is very important as one of my query is based on dynamic sql query expecting that parameter value. This must be taken care of in further updates of Power BI.
