I need to create a team from the new app workspace that I've created. Now I have made a separate team with the same members as in the new app workspace which creates a redundant workspace with no content.

Better integration with teams is important. the new app workspaces allow a 1:1 alignment with app and workspace, unlike the published apps for O365 group workspaces. However if we want to create a hotlink to one in a TEAMS tab... it be tough. The ask is really to let operational users access via teams and have better security alignment within groups on the PBI service.
