Please add MS Project MPP files as a data source.
Wonderful things can be done with Project Online and Power BI.
I would love to do the same with the MS Project MPP files on my laptop

RE: Add a connector for MS Project MPP files
I'm shocked that this connection does not exist yet. It would be extremely, EXTREMELY well received in the scheduling community. Plenty of us are working in MS Project Desktop vs. Server.

As seen in other comments - why is this connector not available for both Power Query and Power BI? Working with a client and been asked this very question and had to explain not currently available. Please get this resolved asap.

You need to add this connector. Especially enabled for Power BI Desktop and MS Project Desktop. U.S. Defense Contractors use Earned Value extensively. Having connectors will significantly improve the PM, PgMP, and PfMP Leads productivity.

RE: Add a connector for MS Project MPP files
After demo-ing how we could utilize PowerBI to the director of our multi-team department, one of the first questions I received was whether we could import data from MS Project. This connection is an obvious need in any sort of project management that utilizes MS Project.

Almost 6 years and we still "Need Votes", isn't this one of Microsoft's basic tools, so how come the connector hasn't been provided yet ?
RE: Add a connector for MS Project MPP files

RE: Add a connector for MS Project MPP files
Frankly, I cannot understand how this was not one of the first connections created. This seems pretty obvious.
