With today's release of the Power BI Desktop, you can now change the color of your font in textboxes. Read all about it in our blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-march-feature-summary/#textbox If you were looking for the background color of the textbox, you can change this in the formatting pane.

Agree - please allow for font colour in Text box to be changed
RE: Font Color and background color in Text Box
Urgh - this is horrible - just discovered I can't edit the font colour in a Card that's been pushed through to Dashboard. It's Black on White regardless.
Horrible

'@Mike (August 26, 2016 09:47): Agreed.
Seems to me like MSFT is more inclined to "check boxes" that they have features A, B, C and D, even though these features are not properly delivered.
Shame... But I guess this is what happens when you get rid of your QA people.
RE: Font Color and background color in Text Box
Seriously Microsoft, you are making a fool out of yourself. Please fix this issue
RE: Font Color and background color in Text Box
Again I am surprised this is not in there. Please add.
Not my text but I agree fully:
I think that Microsoft must spend more time on these basic, fundamentals of reporting / dashboarding. I worry that too often they spend more time chasing cool, "glitzy" functionality, at the expense of the core functionality that other products have
RE: Font Color and background color in Text Box
Makes this useless when trying to do a black/dark background visualization. Crazy this basic option doesn't exist.
RE: Font Color and background color in Text Box
Work around for this is to turn on the title and type your text into that. Leave the text space blank, still not very help as changing fonts goes out the window, but for some situations this might help someone.
RE: Font Color and background color in Text Box
This is an important fix and should be very basic. Can\t believe that there is no way to do this now.
