On the Content tab of an App you can specify the App landing page. This is normally set to a dashboard. However this is causing us problems as our top level report filter is for Currency, and is single select with the options controlled by row level security.
If I create a USD dashboard then that is fine for all report viewers than have access to USD. However, for users that can only view GBP and EUR the dashboard visuals show no data. If I create a GBP dashboard then they can subsequently select this, but this seems clumsy.
My proposal is to have a default app landing page (which would be the USD dashboard), and then to configure that certain users should land on the GBP dashboard instead.
An alternative would be to allow the currency filter to be pinned to the dashboard (there are numerous suggestions for dashboard filters), but then the single select slicer would need improving to prevent it being 'stuck' on an option that the viewer's RLS does not allow them to select.
I believe multiple App landing pages would be a simpler solution to implement.
