So you have been giving som loving to the FILTERING PANE in Power BI desktop/service in the november 2018 update. That is fine but I truly do not get it? Why on earth should users want to use this pane when you (and you should allways) use a report slicer (remember 99% of all BI users are consumers of reports - they are not self service BI folks, analysts etc.). It is perfect that you actually can hide the pane, but that was all that was needed.
Instead you should be giving som loving to the REPORT SLICER (e.g. why should a user right click to choose that you could actually search; if you have a lot of to choose between - e.g. zip codes - it allways choke; if a user choose say four zipcodes why not expand the slicer so the user can see the four zipcodes he/she chose; make buttons more customizable etc.etc. And by the way: This I can actually design how to look and where to place and I can sync it. I cannot and will not do it in a pane that is allways placed on the right handside. The filtering pane is for all the filters that you have locked to your report, that the user do not understand og never should think about.
