On the bookmark pane, allow user to create 'chapters' (or folders, or whatever you want to call it) which would allow them to cluster related bookmarks together and then to expand or hide the list of bookmarks associated with each chapter... this would allow them to create a more extensive list of bookmarks, but to organize them in meaningful ways while saving 'screen real estate'.
