We are keeping all of our time values in our data sources as UTC (as we consider this a best practice for our international customers).
However, when showing those dates in PowerBI reports, we’d love to get the option to visualize that date as a local timestamp, instead of the UTC timestamp.
I know this is not something that everyone needs as a default, but having the option to mark a field with datatype ‘utctimestamp’, for example would be a good solution.

This is a MUST HAVE
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
This is a critical feature. We need this!
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
Any update on this idea? This is a major requirement, help us to show UTC in our client timezones!
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
I just ran into this issue for the first time, but I'm surprised that this is not standard functionality. There should be a way to show a utc date in the users' local time zone.
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
timezone functionality in power query and DAX is limited and does not support users from multiple time zones. The proposed solution, indicating the data's timezone then converting it to the users timezone is the right solution!
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
update required
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
I am really surprised about how MS had successfully parked aside some of the basic minimum requirements while advertising about other advanced feature things. This issue has been reported since a few years now and no action whatsoever have been taken to address this
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
Yes please!
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
This is greatly needed. As others have said, it's a basic feature that should not have been ignored. Especially since it's marketed/implemented over multiple time zones.
RE: Support for visualization of UTC timestamps
Sure needed
